Graduation Requirements
For the class of 2024, there have been chances for graduation requirements. The following has to be met in order to receive a Valley High School Diploma:
1) 24 High School Credits
and
2) 10 ICAP Components
3) Demonstrate college or Career Readiness

- 4 workforce and postsecondary goals
- Plan of study
- Cover letter or personal statement
- Resume
- Letter of reference
- Mock interview
- Job shadow
- 5 hours of community service
- College or job application
- Scholarship or financial aid application
3) Demonstrate college or Career Readiness
- Must meet One (1) of the following prior to graduation:
1) Advance Placement Test Score of a 2 or above in AP English Language and Composition (Junior year class)
2) SAT score in English at or above a 430 or a 460 for Math
OR ACT English score of 18 or higher or a 19 or higher for a Math score
3) ASVAB score at or above a 31
4) Accuplacer English score at or above a 62 or at or above a 61 in Math
5) Concurrent Enrollment grade in English or Math of a C or better
6) District Capstone Project

ROTARY YOUTH LEADERSHIP AWARDS (RYLA)
RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) is a life-changing leadership training program for young men and women where leadership skills and principles are learned, developed and enhanced in an atmosphere of trust and respect. The purpose of RYLA is to encourage and assist current and potential youth leaders in methods of responsible and effective leadership. Many past RYLArians have said, "It was the best week of my life!"

ECONOMICS FOR LEADERS
Economics for Leaders (EFL) is a selective residential summer program for current high school sophomores and juniors. EFL sessions teach young leaders how to integrate economics into the process of decision-making in a hands-on experiential environment. Classes are taught by economics professors and leadership instructors selected, nationwide, for their expertise and teaching effectiveness. EFL builds valuable leadership skills, helps students develop long-lasting connections and, according to many EFL alumni, is “one of the best experiences of their lives.” FULL SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE!

ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION CAMP
The Society of American Military Engineers and the United States Air Force Academy sponsor an annual Engineering and Construction Camp for select high school freshman and sophomores. The camp offers an opportunity for students from all over the United States and the world to learn hands-on engineering skills and other group activities on the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.
