The mission of the Valley High School Counseling Department is to provide a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate program that addresses the academic, career and personal/social needs of all Valley High School students. The counselors are professional advocates who provide support to maximize student potential and academic achievement. In partnership with other educators, parents or guardians and the community, the counselors facilitate the support system to ensure all students at Valley High School have access to, and are prepared with, the knowledge and skills needed to contribute to society at the highest possible level.
Our school year is going strong. We are more than half-way through the first semester. Counselors are continuing to meet with students in groups and individually to work on college and career planning, social/emotional issues and academic help.
